Ingredients and spices that need to be Take to make Crispy Chilli Prawns:

  1. 250-500 gms prawns
  2. 1st Marination Ingredients:
  3. 1/2 tsp Salt
  4. 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
  5. 2nd Marination Ingredients:
  6. 2 tbsp All-purpose flour
  7. 2.5 tbsp Cornflour
  8. 1/2 tsp G.G paste
  9. 3/4 tsp Pepper powder
  10. soy sauce Soy sauce
  11. Tempering:
  12. 3 tsp Chopped garlic
  13. 1 tsp Chopped ginger
  14. 3 Green chillies
  15. 3-4 Whole dried red chillies
  16. 3 Spring onion whites
  17. Sauces:
  18. 1 tsp of each Red chilli sauce, Soya Sauce, White Vinegar
  19. Other ingredients:
  20. 1 cup Onion Petals (small onion),
  21. 1 of each Green, Red Peppers
  22. 1/2 cup Chopped spring onion,
  23. as required Oil 1.5 tbsp and for frying
  24. as required Corn slurry (mixture of 2 tsp corn flour mixed in 2 tbsp water)

Steps to make Crispy Chilli Prawns

  1. Clean and wash the prawns. Marinate with ½ tsp salt and ¼ tsp turmeric. Set aside for 15 minutes.
  2. Peel and chop the ginger and garlic, slice the green chillies. Take out onion petals or cut into cubes. Cut the green and red peppers into cubes. Chop the spring onion whites and greens seperately and keep aside.
  3. Add turmeric powder, Salt, Ginger garlic paste in a bowl. Add the prawns. Heat oil in a pan. Fry until crisp.
  4. Take a wok/kadhai and heat oil. Add the chopped garlic and ginger and give a stir for at least 15-20 seconds. Now add the spring onion whites. Stir again. Add onion, green and red peppers, salt and pepper.
  5. Mix and sauté well on high flame for 1-2 minutes. Now add the fried prawns and mix for 30 secs on high flame.
  6. Now pour in the sauces and mix well to coat the fried prawns completely. Stir for a minute and then add the cornflour slurry. Mix and stir fry on high flame for 1-2 minutes till it dries up and coats the fried prawns.
  7. Add some chopped spring green onion, mix and serve hot.
