It's a special Indian style chilli chicken i have cooked for my mom. She generally don't love to eat authentic Chinese style food. In chicken only she loves to eat this dish created by me in a different way & chicken curry.

Ingredients and spices that need to be Get to make Chilli chicken:

  1. 1 kg boneless chicken
  2. 5 piece onion cut into cube pieces
  3. 2 capsicum cut in square shape pieces
  4. 1 cube piece ginger
  5. 15 pieces garlic cloves
  6. 2 green chilies
  7. 2 tomatoes cut in square pieces
  8. Refine oil as required
  9. 4 tbsp tomato chilli sauce
  10. 1 tbsp soya sauce
  11. 1 tbsp jeera powder
  12. 1 tbsp dhaniya powder
  13. 1 tbsp haldi powder
  14. to taste Salt and sugar according
  15. as needed Cornflower and Maida
  16. 1 egg
  17. 2 tbsp vinegar
  18. Water

Steps to make Chilli chicken

  1. Firstly, wash chicken & marinate with vinegar keep for few mins.
  2. Make a paste of ginger,garlic & green chilies.Divide the paste in two bowls.
  3. Drain out excess water which comes out from chicken then again marinate with 1 tbsp salt and 1 tbsp haldi powder.
  4. Add dhaniya and jeera powder with 1st bowl of ginger,garlic,green chilies paste and mix it well so that every piece gets coated with spices.
  5. After few minutes add eggs, Maida and cornflower & coat it well. The mixture should be sticky not watery.
  6. Add adequate amount of oil and start frying chicken pieces like pakoras, fry until pakoras become crispy (we can eat it as pakoras too).
  7. In another kadai add 2 tbsp of white oil and start frying onion when onion becomes transparent add capsicum and tomatoes pieces.
  8. Stir for few minutes then add 2nd bowl of ginger,garlic,chilies paste. Cook until raw smell turns into nice aroma.
  9. Then add tomato chilli sauce and soya sauce and 2 tbsp sugar, 1&1/2 tbsp salt.
  10. Add little water, let it boil. Then add chicken pakoras in the gravy and add 2 cups of water.
  11. When chicken with gravy starts to boil and chicken pieces becomes soft simmer flame.
  12. In a small bowl add half cup of water and 1 tbsp cornflower powder make a liquid paste like milk.
  13. When chicken with gravy becomes little thick add the cornflower mixture and cook for another few minutes by closing the lid.
  14. Switch off flame serve the dish with fried rice / paratha / roti.
