When me and my family go out for picnic we usually opt for homemade food which will be filling during the day, so along with some boiled eggs and sandwiches i usually pack fried rice or puris along with chilli chicken... in this recipe i have added some prawns as well which my kids love...
Ingredients and spices that need to be Take to make Chilli prawn n chicken:
- Marination
- 10 pcs prawns medium size
- 10 pcs boneless chicken small size
- 2 tbsp cornflour
- 2 tbsp maida
- 2 tsp soya sauce
- 1 tsp chili powder
- to taste Salt
- Oil for deep frying
- Gravy
- 1 tbsp finely chopped ginger
- 1 tbsp finely chopped garlic
- 2 spring onion
- 1/2 tomato sliced
- 1/2 green capsicum sliced
- 1/2 yellow bell pepper sliced
- 2 green chillies
- 2 tbsp hot n sweet sauce
- 1 tsp soya sauce
- 1/2 tsp vinegar
- Salt to tatse
- to taste Pepper
- 1 tsp cornflour
- 1 tbsp oil
- 1 tsp honey
Instructions to make Chilli prawn n chicken
- Marinate chicken n prawns separately in two bowls with 1 tsp cornflour, 1/2 tsp soy sauce, chill, salt and pepper to taste in each bowl... mix well and marinate for 10 mins... then deep fry them and keep aside



- In a wok /kadhai heat oil, add ginger n garlic and saute. Then add spring onion white part, saute and then add green and yellow capsicum n green chillies... saute on high flame, then add the green part of spring onions. Mix well.


- Then add fried chicken and prawns... mix well.. then add soya sauce, vinegar and hot and sweet sauce and honey. Mix well.. then add cornflour slurry 1/2 cup and mix well... simmer for another 2 -3 mins...the gravy should not be too thin... pack in the box to be served later with puri or fried rice.
